Confidence is a birthright of the child of God. We should be able to say with the blessed psalmist,

For by You I can run against a troop,
By my God I can leap over a wall.

Our confidence lies not in our possessions nor our skills. This may fail. But true abiding confidence must be in the Lord God Almighty. He will never fail not falter. His word is sure. His promises He will fulfill.
